The Akrapovic Racing and Evolution systems are designed for all lovers of the peppy Superduke who want to get even more from their machines. The system delivers a major increase in performance and the weight reduction will make maneuvering easier, to say nothing of the awesome look. The new design of the muffler for the Akrapovic Racing and Evolution systems fits exceptionally well with the aggressive naked lines.
The systems are configured 2-1-2, with two conical header tubes leading into a conical Y collector, and then into a cylindrical Y link pipe and two mufflers attached under the seat. The Racing and Evolution headers differ only in their tube materials. The Racing system uses high quality stainless steel, while the Evolution uses a special type of titanium. The performance characteristics of the two systems are identical. The individual components are connected with sleeve joints secured with silicon-shielded springs. The header tubes include fittings for attaching lambda sensors. For the KTM Superduke we fitted the new design Akrapovic mufflers, which are attached to the frame using Akrapovic carbon-fiber clamps. The muffler outer sleeves are titanium, as are the perforated inner tube, inlet cap and outlet tube. The outlet tube is formed using the hydroforming process. The outlet cap for the Superduke is made of carbon fiber.
